Ideas for CSR projects

  • Donating money and spending time with children at orphenages and adults in homes
  • Distributing food and clothing to the poor
  • Painting underprivileged schools and nurseries
  • Distributing stationary items for students in rural areas
  • Cleaning the beach
Two or three of these could be taken into consideration for the purpose of our ES project. Let me know on what I should develop on.

Consider the Five R's

Consider the Five Rs.
--Restore. Use materials and companies that practice sustainability
--Respect. Packaging has many aspects—from the source of the material to final distribution. Keep these    in mind when choosing products.
--Reduce. By using fewer materials with less weight, the cost of transporting the packages will be less.
--Reuse. If what’s already been made can be used again, then practice reusing.
--Recover. Recycle what can’t be reused.

Recycling Metal

When we talk about recycling drives for metal, usually we refer to aluminum and steel recycling. For the more valuable metals such as copper, gold, silver and brass, their values are more widely recognized and hence, they are usually already sent for recycling. There is a huge market for recyclable metals
.Most metals are recyclable and can be used in manufacturing other products like parts of vehicles, ships, tankers etc. Hence recycling iron, copper, and brass products can be extremely profitable.Depending on the type of metal, recycling agencies will pay differently per pound or kilogram of metal being sold.
For example, copper and brass products might be purchased at a much higher rate than iron and steel. Thus, it makes perfect business sense to collect recyclable metal products, separate them based on the type of metal and sell them to these agencies.                                                                                                             One good news is that metals can be recycled indefinitely without loosing any of their properties.

Then not only will you be able to generate streams of income through recycling, you are also contributing in a large way to the environment and our precious earth. It’s a win-win!

Leftover Recycling

Maintaining Environment sustainability is an important factor for both small and medium scale businesses .the improvement of medium and small scale businesses always can make significant changes for the broader picture of the industry. As we are focusing on Inter Ocean private ltd which is dealing with motor spare parts, our team should be mainly focusing on solid waste management. Since the company deals with lot of metallic and chemical elements, the throw away items should be minimum and the procedure should be handled in an environmental friendly approach.
In order to utilize the resources successfully and reduce the volume of manufacture leftover, spare parts recycling activities must include efforts to further reduce the volume of waste and support its reuse and recycling to eventually achieve zero leftover. Our focus will be on recycling opportunities at every stage of functioning and effective use of resources by reusing discarded materials or using them as energy sources. The objective should be mainly to reduce land, air, water and noise pollution cause by inter ocean private ltd throughout their trading activities. We should thoroughly inspect company yards to discover the categories of harmful waste such as battery parts, mercury, motor oil and the left over parts that can be shredded without dumping into the environment. Since recycling process is expensive we have to find out cost effective methods as much as possible to deliver the maximum advantage for the company as well as the environment.
