Environmental sustainability initiatives have
been implemented through new policies and programs, updates to existing
standards, partnerships with community, business and government stakeholders.
Current environmental programs have focused on improving energy and water
efficiency of new and existing homes; improving corporate sustainability as
well as assisting social housing residents participate in environmental sustainability
programs for the benefit of the community.
Future environmental programs will
continue to improve the environmental sustainability of new and existing homes,
achieve energy savings in office and common area buildings, assist contractors
improve their sustainability and support social housing households adapt to
climate change impacts.
